Junior High Youth group is a Christ centered 7th and 8th grade ministry group that focuses on reading, learning, and applying God's word to our daily lives. We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15am and select Sunday nights as well from 4-5:45pm. Upcoming Youth Nights
As I am sure many of you have already guessed we are going to cancel all youth group meetings as a precaution. This viral outbreak has most aspects of life in a state of unknown but with diligence and trust in God we will be able to get through these trying times having grown by the process.
Please keep an eye out for updates and info coming out about the situation in regards to GSLC Youth. In the mean time use your new found free time to read God's word and pray for those around you and all around the world dealing consequences of this virus both seen and unforeseen.
In the face of fear, of chaos, anxiety, and uncertainty, you remain a child of God—loved, fought for, protected, covered by God’s mercies.
As the events of the world seem to threaten our security and inner peace, you remain his. Loved. Fought for. Protected. Covered.
God's love is not conditional, not subject to change. His promises are not empty, and his words are not void. He does not give himself in pieces, but wholly, completely, fully, in the midst of our greatest hardships and worry, he remains ever close and ever-present.
He is your Protector. He is fighting for you. He has conquered death for you. He has broken bows and ended wars for you, and you remain his. And yet he still promises himself to us. Near. Close. Present. In his sovereignty and in his grace, he says to us, It is mine to fight, to conquer, to defeat darkness and to reign victorious. It is yours to see and to know that this is all for you. I have pledged myself to you. I am with you. I will be exalted.
We may not have reason, explanation, or certainty of why, but what we do know is God is still good, no matter our circumstances. He remains near with no oversight of our struggles or anxiety. He remains close to the brokenhearted, and you remain his child. Loved. Fought for. Protected.
We're all in this together
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present[b] help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.

the God of Jacob is our fortress.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
