Music Ministry

Good Shepherd's Music Ministry incorporates both adults and children to edify God's people with music that is both beautiful and Biblical. Continuing the Lutheran tradition shaped by J. S. Bach we strive for music that reflects our joy in Jesus and gives all the glory to God.

Music Director Chris Loemker

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. serves as our head organist and music director. He is a native of Edwardsville and holds a degree in Organ Performance from Indiana University - Bloomington. He has been involved in LCMS church music over the last 24 years in a variety of roles ranging from Music Director and Organist, to formely working as a Production Editor in the music department of Concordia Publishing House. This summer he will serve as Kantor of the Higher Things Lutheran Youth Conferences to be held in Memphis, Tennessee and Logan, Utah. During the week, Chris is a corporate pilot that lives in Collinsville with his wife, Carmen, and three daughters - Colleen, 9; Claire, 7; and Catrina, 4.

Adult Choir

Our Adult Choir sings regularly in our worship services. We are always looking for people who love to sing whether they are are musicians or not. Choir members are given music and audio cds to help them learn the music for upcoming worship services. Rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings as needed. Handbell Choir

Brass Choir

Children's Choirs

Good Shepherd Lutheran School adds to our worship with four different children's choirs.
