At times we also recommend people to professional Christian counselors. You may also want to go directly to a counselor.  To help with that we are developing a list of recommended counselors. 

Rev. John Rathje

Rev. Rathje (LPC, AAPC Fellow) is a Lead Staff Counselor at the Center for Counseling and Pastoral Care (www.ccpcstl.org) in Manchester, MO.  He a pastor of the LCMS and currently serves at Christ in the City in St. Louis. He brings with him over 25 years of experience working with a variety of people as a counselor, educator, mentor, and leader.  He is uniquely qualified with special interest in therapeutically assisting individuals and couples with such things as anxiety, grief, divorce, parenting, children/teens, men's issues, and young adults.  He understands the nature and demands of life in the Collinsville community and in local congregations.  To schedule an appoint, contact Rev. Rev. Mark Wiesner

Rev. Mark Wiesner (MDiv, MS, LMFT) and LCMS pastor and currently serves at Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville. He also practices counseling in addition to his pastoral ministry.  Mark is an Illinois state-liceensed Marriage & Family Therapist. With individuals Mark can help with anxiety, depression, sex compulsion, divorce recovery, priority evaluation.  With couples Mark can help with communication, problem-solving, couple connection, affair recovery, and reestablishing trust. For families Mark can help with child behavior, adolescent issues and ADHD.  His counseling is distinctively Christian and Clinically Unique.  His office is in O'Fallon, Illinois.
