Issues, Etc. is back on the air weekdays at 4:00 p.m. on KSIV AM 1320 and on the internet at
http://www.issuesetc.org. Issues, Etc. examine contemporary issues in the modern church from a confessionally Lutheran perspective.The Next Adult Confirmation Class begins Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. The classes provide a basic introduction to the Christian faith. Anyone desiring to become a member of Good Shepherd should begin with this class. Babysitting is provided.
We Will Welcome the GSLS teachers with a reception on August 23 & 24 after services. Anyone who is willing to donate a couple dozen cookies would be appreciated. Please deliver cookies to church kitchen by noon on Saturday August 23.

Today’s Sunday School lesson explored "Journey from Malta to Rome" from Acts 28:1–16. This account shares Paul’s layover following a shipwreck on the way to Rome. Parents might ask, "How does God use what seems like a disaster to spread His Word? What opportunities does God give us to tell others about Jesus?"
GS Boy Scout Troop is selling tickets to the Cardinal game on Sept. 6th at 6:15 p.m. The cost of the tickets are $15 each OR buy 10 or more tickets & get them for $10 each. Our theme for this year’s Home Bible Studies will be Vocation: God Serves through Us. In this series we will be learning how God gives us gifts to serve in the world, in the home, and in the workplace. Signup sheet is available in the Narthex.
Home Bible Studies offer GLSC members and friends a very special way to learn more about God in a comfortable and relaxed setting. Groups meet once a month from October to May.

Home Bible Studies Beginning in October
Beginning with our own baptism, this study will help ignite a burning desire to share your faith with others. The classes are forming now through September and will begin in October. Registration forms are available in the Narthex or fill out the form below or call the Church Office (344-3151). Pick the times that work best for you. We will do our best to get you in a compatible group.
